Director Chang Jianhua published papers “Research on Chinese Clan and Family Nankai University since the Reform and opening up”

Nankai Historical Studies, the second issue of 2019, which was published by Social Sciences Academic Press in January, 2020, had published papers “Research on Chinese Clan and Family Nankai University since the Reform and opening up”, writing by Director Chang Jianhua.

According to this article, since the Reform and Opening up, Chinese social historical study in Nankai focuses more on clan and family. There have been fruitful achievements, including general historical studies “Chinese Clan History”, “Clan History”, “History of Chinese Family”, dynastic history studies “Study on the Family Morphology of Shang and Zhou dynasties”, “Research on surname System of Shang and Zhou dynasties”, “Studies on the Han and Jin Dynasties’ Family”, “A study of The Chui family in The Middle Dynasties”, “The vicissitudes of the Du family in The Middle Dynasties”, “The formation of the clan pattern and comparison of different regions after Song Dynasty”, “Study on Clans in Ming Dynasty”, “The Modern Turn of the Chinese family since the 18th century”. In addition, the article said there were some reference book published, such as “Selected historical records of Qing Dynasty clans”, “Comprehensive catalogue of Chinese genealogies”. Moreover, Nankai Offer original ideas, including “abnormal patriarchal society”, “Postgentile society in Han and Jin”, each of which has great influence in academic circles. In the manner of speaking, NKU has key position in study of  Chinese clan and family history.
