Nankai Historical Studies, the first issue of 2020, which was published by Social Sciences Academic Press in June, 2020, had published papers “Research on the History of Chinese Social Structure in Nankai University since the Reform and opening up”, writing by Director Chang Jianhua.
This paper reviews the research on the history of China's social structure in Nankai University in the new period of reform and opening up, including the exploration under the background of reform and opening up from 1978 to 1999, and the research under the multi-perspective from 2000 to 2019. Based on the study of dynastic history, Nankai Historical study develops the special direction of social history and forms a new situation of social history research. Based on this background, Nankai's research on the history of Chinese social structure is remarkable.Both the comprehensive research and the discussion of the social structure in various historical periods have made progress and produced a number of important research results.The social history research in Nankai University is now paying more attention to the transformation from social structure to social life. And the previous research perspective of the state and society, is also transferred to the perspective of system and life.We are looking forward to the excellent work combining macro social structure and micro social network.
